Why? Well, they last longer (a regular bulb lasts for an average of 4.5 months, LEDs last for ten years), which means less likelihood of the bulb needing to be changed during your stay. On top of that, they’re much more energy efficient; an incandescent light bulb loses 80 percent of its energy to heat, leaving only the last 20 percent for light. LED light bulbs turn this around, giving up a just 20 percent of their energy to heat loss.
The fact that LEDs consume less energy means that they are cheaper in the long run, which is obviously good news for us, but its also great for you, because the more we keep costs down, the more we can pass these savings onto you in the form of affordable, luxury accommodation. It’s a win for everyone – including the planet.
